Job summary

Basso is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to join our team. The role focuses on keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean, sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment, and supporting kitchen staff for smooth service.

Responsibilities include washing all wares, maintaining the dish station, assisting with stock, and reporting maintenance issues. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required; competitive hourly wages and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or by hand as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing station, kitchen, and back-of-house areas.
• Ensure all equipment and utensils are clean, sanitized, and stored properly.
• Assist in waste disposal and recycling efforts.
• Clean kitchen surfaces, including floors, counters, and walls, to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Perform regular cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, and trash removal.
• Assist with receiving and stocking kitchen supplies when needed.
• Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the kitchen supervisor.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
