Pura Vida Miami is seeking a kitchen team member to prep ingredients, maintain a clean workstation, and support chefs in a fast-paced environment. You will follow safety guidelines, operate kitchen equipment, and help with inventory and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years in a food production facility or fast-paced restaurant.
• Local Food Handler certification acquired by applicant.
• Excellent understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality food.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Great communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be familiar with the measurement system.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prep ingredients as per recipes and kitchen needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, store food safely.
• Support chefs by measuring and mixing ingredients and other prep tasks.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, proper handling and storage.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory control by labeling and storing ingredients and notifying Kitchen Manager of low stock levels.
• Perform daily and deep cleaning tasks in the kitchen.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing them properly.
• Cross-train across roles to support growth and team success.
• Support with any additional duties assigned.
