The Role
The Kitchen Prep prepares ingredients and components with consistency, care, and disciplined food-safety practices so the kitchen is ready for service.
What You’ll Do
- Follow recipes, prep lists, yields, portions, and production priorities accurately.
- Wash, cut, portion, mix, label, cool, store, and rotate ingredients safely.
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked workstation.
- Monitor product quality and communicate shortages, waste, or specification concerns.
- Use knives, smallware, scales, and commercial equipment safely.
- Complete sanitation, breakdown, and assigned closing work thoroughly.

Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
- Professional kitchen, food-production, or relevant preparation experience is preferred.
- Ability to follow written recipes and verbal direction with consistent accuracy.
- Knife skills, sanitation awareness, organization, urgency, and teamwork.
- Food Handler Certification
Physical & Schedule Requirements
- Stand and move for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Frequently bend, reach, grip, push, pull, and perform repetitive food-preparation motions.
- Regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance when needed.
- Safely work around heat, open flame, steam, sharp tools, wet floors, cold storage, and commercial equipment.
- Maintain availability for a varied schedule that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
