Middlebury College is seeking a Kitchen Porter Supervisor to oversee dish room and pot sink operations during assigned shifts, ensuring clean, sanitary, and stocked dishware and service equipment while meeting safety standards.
This full-time, hourly role requires supervisory experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. The position offers benefits and is based in Middlebury, VT.
Oversee dish room and pot sink operations during assigned shifts to ensure clean, sanitary, and adequately stocked dishware, utensils, cookware, and service equipment while maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Primarily assigned to the dish room, this position provides supervision and operational support throughout Dining Services as needed to meet staffing, safety, customer service, and departmental priorities.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $20.00 - $22.99 per hour.
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. on a daily basis, including lifting full milk crates into the cooler above waist level. Must be able to lift full glass racks and coffee racks above waist level. Must be able to push and pull 150 lbs. frequently. This job also requires frequent and repetitive overhead reaching and lifting, as well as standing for long periods of time. Also requires frequent and repetitive bending and twisting motions.
