Job summary

City of Lincoln is seeking a Kitchen Manager for Jalapeño Tree operations in Mineola, TX. The role focuses on back-of-house leadership, ensuring food quality, safety, and guest satisfaction across shifts.

You will train and coach staff, manage BOH labor and inventory, and uphold health and safety standards while supporting profitability goals. Training begins at Jalapeño Tree in Tyler, with relocation to Mineola as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or successful Assistant Manager in a full-service restaurant
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage inventory, food safety, and BOH labor schedules
• Knowledge of food and beverage laws and health regulations
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and cost control awareness

Responsibilities

• Oversee BOH scheduling and payroll-related changes
• Manage food and supply ordering, inventory control and cost of goods
• Train, coach and develop staff to uphold high standards
• Lead successful shifts using restaurant systems and tools
• Maintain clean, safe, and compliant kitchen operations with health regulations
