Job summary

Texas Roadhouse is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee all Back of House operations, including purchasing, receiving, preparing, and presenting food per recipes and procedures. You will supervise production, enforce policies, and drive timely ticket times while coaching staff and driving safety and quality.

Ideal candidates will manage inventories, food costs, and labor, while maintaining a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
• Enforcing compliance with employment policies and ensuring restaurant cleanliness and guest safety at all times
• Directing productivity to maintain efficient and timely food item ticket times
• Managing Back of House employees, including performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
• Developing key employees by providing daily feedback during one-on-one sessions
• Conducting Taste & Temp checks for inventory safety in the kitchen
• Overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
• Practicing safe food handling procedures
• Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
• Directing work and scheduling for Back of House staff
• Training staff on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
• Reviewing applications and assisting with hiring decisions
• Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment aligned with core values and goals
