Position Overview

YMCA of Reading & Berks County is seeking a passionate Part Time Kitchen Manager at our Reading, PA location. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary skills, develop nutritious menus, and make a positive community impact.

Responsibilities

1. Manage all aspects of meal preparation, service, and planning for programs and special events.
2. Create nutritious and appealing menus tailored to children's dietary needs.
3. Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
4. Support the children's nutrition program within our childcare services.

Qualifications

• At least one year of institutional cooking and food ordering experience (highly desirable).
• Food Handler's License or willingness to obtain one.
• Knowledge of proper food storage and handling.
• Understanding of food allergies and cross-contamination prevention.
• Basic math skills for measuring and portioning.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
