Job summary

Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa is seeking a Lead Cook to supervise kitchen staff in the Chef's absence and uphold high food quality. You will train associates, monitor production flow, and ensure health and safety standards.

You will lead mise en place, inspect ingredients, follow recipes, and coordinate with supervisors to maintain cost controls and timely service while promoting teamwork across the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper preparation of menu items, equipment handling, and safety compliance.
• Conduct sensory evaluations and ensure top-quality ingredients and correct recipes are used.
• Report substandard products to supervisors to ensure prompt resolution.
• Maintain proper service pace and ensure timely guest meals.
• Schedule culinary staff and follow directions of supervisors and chefs.
• Monitor production flow to adhere to cost and quality control procedures.
• Oversee receiving, storage, and rotation of foods per health regulations including labeling and dating.
• Lead daily taste panels to verify dishes are seasoned correctly.
