Chipotle Mexican Grill Detroit is hiring a Kitchen Leader to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You’ll order food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders.

The Kitchen Leader helps ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle’s delicious food every day, keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and well stocked while maintaining equipment. Throughout the role you’ll model teamwork and a strong customer experience, stay on top of tasks, and support Crew members

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Following Chipotle’s procedures to cook and prep food to order and maintain kitchen standards.
• Monitor food waste and inventory, resolving quality issues.
• Support a strong back-of-house and front-of-house team dynamic.
• Develop crew members toward future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with crew and customers to ensure great service.
• Keep the kitchen clean, sanitized, and well organized.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and promptly repaired if needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Fill out MSDS and FIFO inventory documentation.
