Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to oversee food preparation, quality, and safety while training Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders. You will ensure clean, organized kitchens, proper inventory, and a strong customer-focused environment.

You’ll lead by example, promote teamwork, and drive exemplary service as you work with back-of-house and front-of-house teams to deliver delicious, consistent meals in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Must have a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, following kitchen procedures
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders
• Communicate with Crew and customers to ensure great service and throughput
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized
• Monitor kitchen equipment and keep it in good repair; coordinate quick repairs
• Ensure the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO)
