Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Ohio is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and perform food preparation, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables. You will train Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders while ensuring food quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and maintaining a clean, stocked kitchen with properly maintained equipment. You will mentor Crew and help achieve station goals on a busy shift.

Qualifications

• Understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the work location's primary language.
• Must have a high school diploma.
• Restaurant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensure kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair malfunctioning equipment quickly.
• Ensure that the kitchen and Crew meet guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
