Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to oversee food prep, quality, and safety in a fast-paced environment in State College, PA. You will train Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders and ensure excellent customer service and throughput.

The role emphasizes teamwork, operation cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards while promoting Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy and a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; get malfunctioning equipment repaired quickly.
• Ensure that the kitchen and all Crew members meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Fill out MSDS and FIFO inventory procedures.
