Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in West Haven, CT is seeking a Kitchen Leader who will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while ensuring our meals are absolutely delicious.

You will train Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders, keep the kitchen clean, organized, and well stocked, and maintain equipment in good condition.

The role emphasizes teamwork, great customer service, and working on your feet to meet station goals and support your teammates.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair malfunctioning equipment quickly.
• Ensure that the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
