Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Metuchen, NJ is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while ensuring high quality and safety. You’ll train Crew members and help develop future Kitchen Leaders, promoting teamwork and delivering an outstanding guest experience.

This role emphasizes following recipes and procedures, keeping a clean, stocked kitchen, and supporting the team as needed.

Qualifications

• Understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• High school diploma.
• Restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow Chipotle policies and procedures.
• Cook and prep food to order ensuring quality.
• Monitor inventory and food waste; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure great service.
• Keep the kitchen clean, sanitized, and well stocked.
• Maintain equipment and expedite repairs as needed.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO documentation.
