Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is hiring a Kitchen Leader to learn and lead food preparation, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while ensuring delicious, safe, and high-quality meals. You will order food, train others, and promote teamwork to create an exceptional guest experience.

Expect to supervise daily kitchen operations, maintain cleanliness and stock, and mentor Crew members toward becoming Kitchen Leaders; strong communication with both Crew and customers is essential.

Qualifications

• Must understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Must be able to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Restaurant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to order while following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food quality, waste, and inventory; resolve issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house crews.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen; ensure equipment is in good repair.
• Follow safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Handle MSDS and FIFO inventory practices.
