Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Minneapolis is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn food prep, grill meats, and sauté vegetables, ensuring our food is absolutely delicious. You’ll order the food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders.

The Kitchen Leader helps ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle's delicious food every day, keeping the kitchen clean, organized, stocked, and maintained while promoting teamwork and a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Following Chipotle's policies and procedures, operate and prep food to order, and follow kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair malfunctioning equipment quickly.
• Ensure safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
