Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You are responsible for making sure our food is delicious, ordering the food, and training Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders.

The Kitchen Leader helps ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle’s food every day, keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and well stocked, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Restaurant experience required.
• Understand Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Able to speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Follow Chipotle policies and procedures; prepare food to order and follow kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels; resolve quality issues.
• Support strong team dynamics between back-of-house and front-of-house crews.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Keep kitchen clean and sanitized; ensure equipment is maintained and repaired when needed.
• Ensure the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
