The 5 Spot Sandfly is seeking an exceptional, experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to support the Kitchen Manager in leading the Heart-of-House team in a fast-paced casual kitchen in Savannah, GA. The role emphasizes strong leadership, guest service, and a path for career progression within our restaurant family.

Qualifications

• Experience in back-of-house operations is preferred.
• Ability to manage a team and maintain high guest service standards.
• Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for kitchen functions including purchasing, prep, and maintenance of quality standards.
• Ensure sanitation, safety, and cleanliness across the kitchen.
• Train staff in cooking methods, portion control, and cost management.
• Supervise kitchen cleaning and inventory control.
• Monitor food holding and refrigeration temps and follow policies.
