Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and perform food preparation, grill meats, and train Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders. You will ensure our food is delicious, the kitchen is clean, stocked, and running smoothly, while promoting teamwork across back-of-house and front-of-house staff.

The role emphasizes cooking to order, monitoring inventory, maintaining equipment, and upholding safety standards to deliver a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Following Chipotle policies and procedures while performing principal responsibilities.
• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order per kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house crews.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Keep the kitchen clean, sanitized, and well organized; maintain equipment in good repair.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries and accidents.
