Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is hiring a Kitchen Leader in the United States. You will learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables, while training Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders and ensuring a delicious, high‑quality product.

You will promote teamwork, maintain cleanliness, manage inventory, and mentor teammates to deliver excellent customer service and a smooth kitchen operation.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair.
• Ensure that the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
