Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Apex, NC is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You will order supplies and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders.

The Kitchen Leader helps ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle's delicious food every day. They see to it that the kitchen is clean, organized and well stocked; and that the equipment is properly maintained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels and resolve quality issues.
• Support teamwork between back of house and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitized and ensure equipment is maintained.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries.
• Fill out MSDS and apply FIFO for inventory rotation.
