Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is hiring a Kitchen Leader in New Jersey to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while leading a Crew and training future Kitchen Leaders. You will ensure food quality and safety, keep the kitchen clean and stocked, and promote teamwork to deliver a great customer experience.

Base pay ranges from $17.40 to $19.35 per hour, with benefits. Join a team dedicated to delicious food, strong values, and opportunities for advancement as you develop

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prep food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair as needed.
• Ensure the kitchen and Crew meet guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
