Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Newark, NJ is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You will ensure the food is absolutely delicious, order supplies, and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders.

The Kitchen Leader helps ensure food quality and safety, keeps the kitchen clean and stocked, and maintains equipment. You will model teamwork and drive a great customer experience while supporting Crew members’ growth.

Qualifications

• Understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Follow Chipotle policies and procedures to ensure food quality.
• Cook and prep food to order and follow kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house crews.
• Develop crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with crew and customers to ensure great service.
• Keep kitchen clean, sanitized, and well-stocked; maintain equipment.
• Ensure safety and compliance to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO inventory records.
