Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and supervise food prep, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables to deliver delicious, high-quality meals. You will order food and train Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders, promoting teamwork and an excellent customer experience.

The role emphasizes keeping the kitchen clean, stocked, and compliant with safety guidelines while supporting seamless service and throughput.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with Crew members and customers.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitoring food waste and inventory levels, and resolving food quality issues.
• Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicating with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensuring the kitchen is clean, organized and well stocked.
• Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair; repairing malfunctioning equipment promptly.
• Filling out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
