Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking individuals to support food service operations in a Job Corps setting. Responsibilities include maintaining sanitary kitchen equipment, cleaning storerooms and dining areas, setting up dishwashing, assisting in meal preparation, and supporting student employability through supervision of work-based learning programs.

High school diploma and driver’s license preferred, with 3–6 months related experience or training.

Qualifications

• Three to six months of related experience, and/or training.
• Must be able to perform quantitative calculations using fractional and decimal measure units.

Responsibilities

• Keeps all equipment used in the preparation, storage, and serving of food in sanitary condition.
• Keeps storerooms, walk-in refrigerators, and freezer clean and orderly.
• Sets up dish room and dishwashing machine before each meal.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Assist in preparing and serving food in accordance with pre-planned menus.
• Helps supervise work-based learning program to develop students' employability and Career Success Standards.
