Job summary

The Salvation Army in Modesto, CA is seeking a Kitchen Coordinator to prepare and serve daily meals for Red Shield program participants, maintain kitchen cleanliness, manage food storage, and handle inventory for statistics and billing.

Under the supervision of the Red Shield Program Manager, you will lead volunteers, coordinate meal service and events, and support the nutritional needs of seniors, youth, and families served by The Salvation Army.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CA Driver's license is required.
• ServSafe food handling certificate required within first fourteen days of employment – company provided.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for food storage, food preparation, cooking, and serving daily meals.
• Prepare and clean kitchen areas daily, for service and inspections.
• Coordinate and supervise the kitchen volunteers.
• Oversee the inventory of food supplies.
• Oversee the preparation of food for special events and holidays.
