Job summary

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Kitchen Coordinator to join the Food Services team in Boone, NC. The role focuses on food storage, rotation, and sanitation, with daily devotions and prayer support for the ministry and volunteers. A HS diploma and 3–5 years in food prep are preferred.

Join a faith-driven program delivering humanitarian aid while maintaining Christian integrity and teamwork in a on-site kitchen setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years experience in food preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Put away dry stock in storeroom, refrigerate and freeze foods with proper dating and rotation.
• Attend daily morning devotions and provide prayer support for ministry, donors and volunteers.
• Assist with cleaning duties: remove trash, sweep and mop floors.
• Other duties as assigned by the Food Services team.

In the role of Kitchen Coordinator , you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
• Put away dry stock in the storeroom, refrigerated food in the cooler, and frozen foods in the freezer when delivered by food service vendors. Ensure proper dating, rotation, and storage.
• Remove trash and break down boxes. Sweep and mop floors.
• Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers.
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent and three (3) to five (5) years experience in food preparation.
