Job summary

Drury Plaza Hotel in Antioch, Tennessee is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to help prepare a variety of food items according to recipes and to maintain a clean, organized prep area while delivering friendly hospitality to guests.

The role supports guest service with a professional demeanor, assists in daily kitchen operations, and answers questions about the hotel, area, and events to enhance the guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly.
• Ability to operate machines and equipment including POS software and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members with professionalism.
• Support bartender duties but does not pour alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of food products according to recipes to fulfill guest orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized prep area and assist guests as needed.
• Deliver food and liaise with guests; promote Drury hospitality.
• Provide knowledge about hotel, area and events to answer questions.

Summary: Under general supervision, prepares a variety of food products using kitchen equipment and utensils according to recipe cards to fulfill guest orders following Company policies and procedures. Maintains the food prep area in a clean, well-organized manner while delivering food and assisting guests as needed. Presents a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times to promote the Drury culture with customers and co-workers. Has general knowledge of the hotel, area, and events to answer questions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years old or older.

• Requires ability to operate machines and equipment used, including but not limited to, include POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment, etc.




• Requires ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of team members; ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism including bar guests.




• Requires ability to support bartender, but does not make or pour alcoholic beverages.




• Requires ability to clean and maintain areas for which responsible.




• Requires ability to effectively and efficiently move around bar and kitchen area.
