Job summary

Wind Creek Chicago Southland is hiring a Kitchen Worker responsible for cleaning plateware, glassware, cooking equipment and utensils, and maintaining sanitation standards across the kitchen and dining areas.

The role requires strict adherence to hygiene practices, operation of dishwashing equipment, and assisting kitchen leadership with inventory needs. It is a full-time position with flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, and involves lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or must enroll and complete GED within 6 months from start date.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Ability to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular and frequent basis.
• Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to strict hygiene standards at all times.
• Cleans and maintains the dish room and kitchen areas.
• Friendly and courteous at all times.
• Willing to assume responsibility for additional tasking and inform leadership of inventory/supply needs.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
• Dispose of kitchen garbage per casino policies.
• Follow proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Wash, rinse, hand sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces including countertops, sinks, stoves and floors.
