Job summary

Alterra's Stratton resort is seeking a Kitchen Attendant to join the Food and Beverage team. This full-time seasonal role supports culinary and service staff by handling janitorial and kitchen tasks, at a pay of $20.00 per hour.

Recruitment will be ongoing through December. Duties include dish care, prep for shifts, and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment, with opportunities for seasonal benefits.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Previous kitchen experience, preferred, not required.
• Responsible and dependable - able to carry out assigned duties without supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Buss tables and wash dishes to ensure clean dishes availability.
• Restock dish storage areas and cook stations for the next shift.
• Clean kitchen appliances and machines used in the kitchen.
• Sweep and mop floors, especially after spills or breakages.
• Take out trash, recycling, and compost; rinse garbage cans.
• Remain current with company trainings and required certifications.

POSITION SUMMARY

Working as part of the Food and Beverage team, the Kitchen Attendant will support the culinary and service staff by providing janitorial and kitchen tasks. This is a full-time seasonal position, compensated at $20.00/hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by bussing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware
• Preparation for next shift by cleaning and restocking dish storage areas and cook stations
• Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled
• Taking out the trash, recycling and compost and rinsing garbage cansCommit to safely operating commercial dish machine
• Remain current with company issued trainings and required certifications
• Additional duties as assigned
