Job summary

Hill & Bach Cellars in Boerne, TX seeks a dependable Kitchen Associate / Cook to join our team as we open a new winery experience. This full-time role focuses on executing the established menu during afternoon and evening service under the Chef/Kitchen Manager.

You will prepare and plate food, maintain sanitation, and keep the kitchen stocked and running smoothly through service. Competitive hourly pay and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred.
• Must have or obtain a valid Food Handler Card.
• Ability to follow established recipes and cooking standards.
• Strong attention to food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.
• Dependable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working independently while taking direction from the Chef/Kitchen Manager.

Responsibilities

• Execute the established menu during afternoon and evening service.
• Prepare and plate food according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Handle dishes and kitchen cleanup.
• Restock ingredients and supplies and complete additional prep as needed.
• Assist with opening and closing the kitchen.
• Communicate inventory and prep needs to the Chef/Kitchen Manager.
• Follow established recipes, portions, and kitchen procedures.
• Assist with events and private functions as needed.
• Work with the rest of the team to keep daily service running smoothly.
• Pitch in with other kitchen and winery needs as needed.
