Job summary

Heinen's Inc. in Avon, OH seeks a part-time Kitchen Associate to prepare sandwiches, wraps and trays, following approved procedures and quality standards.

You will handle various foods, maintain sanitation, lift up to 50 lbs, work in temperatures 0–50°F, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily goals. Evenings and weekends are required.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
  • Prepare a variety of foods, such as sandwiches, wraps, trays, according to customers' orders following approved procedures.
  • Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits, vegetables and meats, to prepare for cooking or serving.
  • Follow Heinen's panning, packaging, and merchandising standards.
  • Acquire and share knowledge of Kitchen Department.
  • Monitor and maintain all food handling and temperature standards.
  • Responsible for writing orders using effective pars and planning.
  • Responsible for working as a team in order to complete daily tasks as needed, including scanning and recording shrink, order writing (weekly and special orders), stocking, rotating and merchandising.
  • Attend required corporate meetings, vendor calls, and training classes.
  • Comply with all personal and food safety company standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
