Job summary

Agincare is seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant to join Laurel Dene Care Home in Hampton. You will support the chef to prepare healthy meals, manage dietary needs, and help maintain a clean, welcoming kitchen for residents.

This part-time role is 15 hours per week (mainly weekends) at £14.80 per hour, with funded training up to QCF level 5, a company pension, and on-demand pay.

Qualifications

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential.
• This is a part time position, working 15 hours per week - this will be working every Saturday and Sunday

A day in the life of a Kitchen Assistant

Support the chef to create healthy/balanced meals and snacks, and ensuring a good

understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens

• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen area, with good levels of hygiene particularly in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols.
• Work as a team player, but have the ability to lone work when needed, effectively managing your time.
• Offer

support, communication and engagement to the residents.

About You

You don't have to have worked in care before, a previous role in a different catering environment is great for someone willing to learn. We'd like you to have some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH. You will be a caring, self-motivated and

individual who is able to show

empathy to the needs of others.
