Job summary

Village Handcrafted Cabinetry in Lansdale, PA seeks a senior cabinetry designer/project manager to lead the custom design process from concept through installation. You will work directly with clients, manage design approvals, and coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Production and Installation teams to deliver beautiful, functional spaces.

Responsibilities include site measurements, client communications, and staying current with trends and products to curate high-end, durable cabinetry

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of senior-level design experience in custom cabinetry.
  • Experience in cabinetry project management preferred.
  • Proficiency with cabinetry design software (20/20, Chief Architect, Cabinet Vision, SketchUp, AutoCad).
  • Strong space planning, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with professional presentation.
  • Ability to take jobsite measurements and read a tape measure.

Job description

  • Develop and maintain open communication and a strong working relationship with in-house teams (Sales, Engineering, Production, and Installation).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with repeat builders, designers, and clients.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
  • Strong time management skills to stay on track.
  • Staying up to date with new trends and products to curate beautiful, functional, and smart spaces for our clients.
Essential Duties And Requirements

Skills And Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in, at a senior level, designing custom, modular cabinetry, and architectural millwork
  • 3-5 years' experience in cabinetry project management preferred.
  • Proficiency utilizing cabinetry design software (20/20, Chief Architect, Cabinet Vision, Sketchup, AutoCad etc.)
  • Strong space planning, organizational, and follow-up skills
  • Creative, problem solver with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with a professional presentation and attitude
  • Experience and ability to accurately take jobsite measurements and read a tape measure.

Qualifications
  • Prefer candidates will have a bachelor's degree or 5 years of senior level working experience related to Interior Design, Architecture, or Construction Management.
Physical Requirements
  • Employees may work in loud work areas including but not limited to: working production level woodshop, active residential construction sites, etc.
  • Employees will be required to navigate active residential construction sites, occasionally climbing ladders, and walking on uneven surfaces.
  • Employee is expected to be able to problem solve, make well thought out decisions and be organized.
