Job summary

Uptalent.io is seeking a Cabinet Vision Engineer to join a U.S.-based custom cabinetry company on a full-time, long-term basis. The role focuses on translating architectural plans into precise cabinetry drawings and fabrication-ready packages.

You will work with Cabinet Vision, UCS codes, and configurations to support high-end residential and commercial projects while meeting tight turnaround targets.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with Cabinet Vision and related standards.
• Experience applying UCS codes and custom attributes in Cabinet Vision.
• Background in cabinetry, millwork, or related fabrication environments.
• Ability to produce detailed shop drawings and manufacturing docs.
• Strong English communication and ability to work with US-based teams remotely.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cabinet Vision Engineer to join a growing U.S.-based custom woodworking and cabinetry company on a full-time, long-term basis.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong experience in Cabinet Vision, UCS codes, custom cabinetry, millwork, and technical shop drawings. You will support high-end residential and commercial projects, transforming architectural plans and design requirements into precise, fabrication-ready cabinetry packages.

The company creates fully customized cabinetry and millwork for demanding projects where quality, accuracy, and speed are essential. You will work closely with the internal team, learn their established Cabinet Vision standards and custom attributes, and help improve the turnaround time for detailed drawing packages.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cabinetry and millwork drawing packages using Cabinet Vision.
• Produce detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, renderings, and shop drawings for high-end residential and commercial projects.
• Review and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Work with Cabinet Vision UCS (User Created Standards) codes, custom attributes, and company-specific configurations.
• Adapt quickly to internal drawing standards, naming conventions, and established workflows.
• Create precise, fabrication-ready documentation that reflects custom materials, joinery, hardware, and installation requirements.
• Support commercial projects with fast turnaround requirements, including drawing packages targeted for delivery within one week of receiving architectural plans.
• Coordinate with the U.S.-based team to clarify technical details, incorporate revisions, and maintain a high standard of accuracy.
• Help identify opportunities to improve drafting efficiency while protecting quality and attention to detail.

• Advanced, hands-on experience with Cabinet Vision.
• Proven experience working with UCS codes, custom attributes, configurations, and standards within Cabinet Vision.
• Strong background in custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, casework, woodworking, or related fabrication environments.
• Demonstrated ability to produce detailed shop drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience with BricsCAD and AutoCAD.
• Experience supporting high-end residential cabinetry projects; commercial millwork or cabinetry experience is also highly valued.
• Strong understanding of cabinetry materials, joinery, hardware, construction details, and fabrication considerations.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Previous experience working remotely with U.S.-based clients or teams is strongly preferred.
• Ability to learn and follow company-specific systems, standards, and technical processes.

Nice to Have

• Experience creating 3D cabinetry renderings or presentation-ready visuals.
• Experience improving Cabinet Vision workflows, UCS libraries, standards, or automation.
• Previous exposure to CNC programming, estimating, or project coordination within a cabinetry or millwork environment
