Academies of Math and Science (AMS) seeks a passionate Kindergarten Teacher for the AMS Power Campus in Mesa for the 2026–2027 school year. The role emphasizes building literacy, numeracy and social-emotional skills within a structured environment.

Compensation ranges from $48,334.25 to $54,571.89 DOE, with start date immediately. AMS offers competitive benefits and professional growth opportunities within a Title I, multilingual community.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education, or valid AZ teaching certification in Elementary or ECE, or at least 3 years of K–12 teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned instruction aligned with AMS curriculum and Arizona standards.
• Build foundational early literacy, phonics, writing, and math skills.
• Use formative and summative data to guide instruction and interventions.
• Differentiate instruction for varied grade-level performance.
• Implement engaging instructional strategies to promote participation and critical thinking.
• Establish a structured, high-expectations classroom environment.
• Support PBIS and positive classroom management.
• Collaborate in PLCs and with instructional leaders for continuous improvement.
• Engage families with regular progress communication and conferences.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education

Arizona teaching certification in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education

Three years of K–12 teaching experience
