Job summary

Academy of Mathematics and Science (AMS) is seeking a dedicated 5th Grade ELA and Science Teacher for the AMS Power Campus in Mesa, AZ, for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher will deliver rigorous instruction in ELA and science, using data-driven planning and differentiated strategies to meet diverse learners’ needs.

The role emphasizes collaboration, PBIS classroom management, and active family engagement to support student success and college readiness. Immediate start date preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (e.g., Elementary Education, English, History, Social Studies).
• Valid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area.
• Minimum of three years of K–12 teaching experience.
• SEI Endorsement or completion of 45 hours of SEI training is required to be considered for the role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned instruction in ELA, reading, writing, and social studies.
• Differentiate instruction to support students at and above/below grade level.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide planning.
• Engage families through conferences and home–school partnerships.
