Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools ISD 284 is seeking a Kindergarten, Recess/Lunch and Instructional Paraprofessional to support K-5 students at Kimberly Lane Elementary School. This 3.25 hour/day position runs on student days (9:15–12:30) and offers a starting rate of pay $21.44 per hour under the Administrative Professionals/Paraprofessionals contract.

The paraprofessional will help maintain a safe, friendly classroom, supervise lunch and playground activities, and assist with small groups and 1:1 student

Administrative Professional and Paraprofessional Contract

Position Description: The person in this position will support K-5 students in their classroom. In addition, this person would be part of a recess paraprofessional team for grades 1-5. The successful candidate will work 3.25 hours a day and have the chance to support the academic, social and behavioral learning of students. Examples of duties include maintaining a safe, friendly and supportive classroom, lunchroom and playground; supervision of an entire classroom; small group work/support; and 1:1 student interaction and assessment.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a school environment
• Ability to make and maintain positive relationships with students and colleagues
• Ability to multitask and supervise students in an environment that is highly engaging

Selection Procedure:

• Position is open only to current Administrative Professionals/Paraprofessionals until 10/12/26@4:00PM.
• If this position does not fill internally, non-unit candidates will be considered.
