Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools ISD 284 is seeking a Kindergarten, Recess/Lunch and Instructional Paraprofessional to support K-5 students at Kimberly Lane Elementary School. This 3.25 hour/day position runs on student days (9:15–12:30) and offers a starting rate of pay $21.44 per hour under the Administrative Professionals/Paraprofessionals contract.

The paraprofessional will help maintain a safe, friendly classroom, supervise lunch and playground activities, and assist with small groups and 1:1 student

Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Ability to multitask and supervise students in an engaging environment.
• Flexibility and patience.
• Ability to take direction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, friendly classroom, lunchroom and playground.
• Supervise an entire classroom and support recess duties.
• Provide small group support and 1:1 student interaction and assessment.
