Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools ISD 284 is seeking a Preschool Inclusion Assistant for a long-term sub role from August 24, 2026 to November 13, 2026. Location involves various preschool programs in elementary buildings with 8 hours per day.

Starting wage is $21.25 per hour, with flexibility as placement may shift to meet student IEP goals and needs. The instructor will assist with IEP goals, preschool skills, supporting behaviors, and inclusion of students with and without identified disabilities.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children in a preschool setting.
• Able to think on your feet and try new approaches.
• Flexible team player with problem-solving abilities for multiple tasks.
• Experience or comfort with students aged 2–5.
• Comfortable working with students with needs.
• Position open to current Community Ed Employees through 8/5/26 4:00 pm.
• External applicants considered if not filled by internal candidates.

Hours: 8.0hours per day
Location: Various preschool programs in elementary buildings
Hours: 8:00 pm-4:00pm
Starting Wage: $21.25per hour

Position Description:
This instructor position will be responsible for assisting with student IEP goals, assisting with preschool skills, supporting behaviors, and faciliation of inclusion for students with and without identified disabilities. The position requires flexibility as the placement will be determined by student needs and may shift throughout the year. This is a long-term reserve position. Additional opportunities after this position ends may be available.
