Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of college study (60 credits) or an Associate's Degree or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.
• Preferred experience with primary-aged students.
• Willingness to be trained to support diverse instructional and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out instructions and lesson plans.
• Modify tasks in real time as needed.
• Balance providing support with fostering student independence.
• Work with students in the classroom under the direction of the teacher.
• Use written and verbal communication effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Establish supportive relationships with students.
• Follow safety rules to assist all students, including those with disabilities.
• Accompany students on field trips and supervise them.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Administrator.
