Qualifications

• Current State of Connecticut Teaching Certificate #065 - #165.
• Experience working with students with special needs in lower elementary grades (preferred).
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs; monitor progress; communicate with families.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a positive classroom and school culture.
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction across content areas.
• Develop and implement IEPs for assigned students and support related plans.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations to identify learning needs and guide actions.
• Observe, collect data and report progress toward IEP goals.
• Prepare and share performance reports with families and staff.
• Collaborate with staff to modify instruction and behavior plans as needed.
• Train paraprofessionals to support student learning.
