Job summary

Castelar Elementary in Omaha, Nebraska seeks a Part-Time Paraprofessional (Temporary) starting January 2027 for a Kindergarten classroom. You will support instructional activities, monitor student progress, and assist with data collection under the supervision of certified staff.

• Assist in instruction of reading, writing and mathematics with guidance from certified staff.
• Commitment to student confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Ability to move and supervise students during daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with instruction and data collection.
• Model appropriate student behaviors and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support students arriving and departing, and supervise during lunch and recess.
• Help with grading and reviewing homework as directed by teachers.
• Assist with monitoring student progress and maintaining records.
