Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or completion of 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours, or demonstrated proficiency via state or locally approved competency test.
• Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, balance, stoop, climb steps and reach overhead; must lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce materials or skills.
• Observe and record behavior; assist with behavior modification techniques.
• Develop and maintain professional rapport with teachers and staff.
• Assist students at arrival and dismissal of school.
• Participate in professional development and in-service trainings.
• Performs supervision of students during lunch and recess periods.
• Organize and retrieve materials and manage schedules per guidelines.
• Assist students with educational technology and software.
