Job summary

Omaha Public Schools Beals Elementary in Omaha, Nebraska seeks a part-time, temporary Instructional Paraprofessional starting January 2027 for the second semester. You will assist classroom teachers, monitor student progress, and help with data collection and records.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or completion of 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours, or demonstrated proficiency to assist in instruction.
• Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, balance, stoop, climb steps and reach overhead.

Responsibilities

• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Model appropriate behaviors for students.
• Develop and maintain professional rapport with teachers and staff.
• Assist students at arrival and dismissal.
• Assist in supervising students during lunch and recess.
• Assist teachers in monitoring, collecting data and maintaining records.
