Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED or be enrolled in a GED program.
• Must meet paraprofessional requirements for Alaska: 48 college credits, or passing score on ETS Paraprofessional Assessment (459+), or passing WorkKeys, or ASD Master Teacher paraprofessional training.

Responsibilities

• Prepares class materials at the direction of the teacher.
• Sets up class projects and displays materials per teacher guidelines.
• Records grades and checks attendance as assigned.
• Aids pupils with routine practice exercises and reading.
• Assists with supervision during lunch and recess and outdoors.
