Job summary

Qualified candidates have MA Early Childhood/PreK-2 licensure, a bachelor’s degree with licensure, and preferably a Master’s degree within five years.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts licensure in Early Childhood/PreK-2 is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree with the appropriate license is required or expected.
• A Master’s Degree with the content license is preferred and may be required within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and suited to students’ maturity and interests.
• Guides learning toward district curriculum goals and communicates clear objectives.
• Prepares for classes and shows evidence of preparation as required by contract.
• Employs varied instructional techniques and media as appropriate.
• Implements district philosophy and performance expectations through instruction.
• Assesses student progress and communicates with parents as needed.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and policy.
• Diagnoses learning challenges and seeks district support when needed.
