Job summary

The ideal candidate will hold the required Massachusetts license, possess a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred within 5 years), and commit to ongoing professional growth and schoolwide collaboration.

Qualifications

• Highly qualified with competency in the content area.
• Massachusetts elementary licensure requirements must be met.
• Bachelor’s degree with appropriate license; Master’s preferred within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes following district locations/times.
• Plans a program of study meeting student needs and abilities.
• Creates a conducive classroom environment for learning.
• Communicates clear objectives and district curriculum goals.
• Prepares for classes and documents preparation as required.
• Uses varied instructional techniques and media adaptively.
• Implements district philosophy and instructional goals.
• Assesses student progress and communicates with parents.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and policy.
• Diagnoses learning challenges and seeks district support.
• Protects students and school property.
• Adheres to classroom code of conduct and enforces rules fairly.
• Plans and supervises paraprofessionals; provides evaluations as required.
• Engages in ongoing professional growth and district goals.
• Participates in teacher evaluation process and district meetings.
• Attends school activities and contributes to district decisions.
• Supports budget, facilities, and curriculum planning; promotes well-being.

Education

Elementary license (1-6)
