Job summary

KidStrong Reno is seeking an energetic Children’s Coach to lead classes for ages 12 months to 11 years, delivering the KidStrong curriculum and ensuring classes start and end on time. This role involves hands-on activity with children, parent communication, safety, and participation in training, staff meetings, and potential hours through private coaching; compensation is $18.00–$22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Passionate about working with children.
  • Prior coaching experience with children aged 12 months to 11 years.
  • CPR certification.
  • Ability to motivate and engage young learners.
  • Ability to maintain safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Coach classes of 6 to 15 children.
  • Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team.
  • Ensure classes start and end on schedule.
  • Greet students and parents individually before class.
  • Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrate and manage implementation of exercises.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the center (lobby, bathrooms, floors) and sanitize equipment.
  • Use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and attendance.
  • Communicate with co-workers via Slack.
  • Complete required training through FranConnect.
  • Work in a physically intensive environment.
  • Be comfortable working hands‑on with children for safety.
  • Assist parents of students three and younger with flow of class.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings for curriculum training.
  • Attend additional mandatory staff meetings.
  • Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Academy special classes.
  • Obtain certified status by the HQ Training & Certification team.

KidStrong Childrens Coach

KidStrong is a milestone accelerator focused on brain, physical & character development for children ages 12 months to 11 years.

Responsibilities
  • Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age 12 months-11 years.
  • Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team.
  • Ensure classes start and end on schedule, maintain appropriate pace.
  • Greet students and parents individually before class.
  • Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrate and manage implementation of exercises.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the center (lobby, bathrooms, floors) and sanitize equipment.
  • Use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide attendance, awards to parents.
  • Communicate with co-workers via Slack.
  • Complete required training through FranConnect.
  • Work in a physically intensive environment.
  • Be comfortable working hands‑on with children for safety.
  • Assist parents of students three and younger with flow of class.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings for curriculum training.
  • Attend additional mandatory staff meetings.

Qualifications
  • Passionate about working with children.
  • Prior experience coaching children of the appropriate age range.
  • Experience speaking to and educating parents about the curriculum.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
  • CPR certified.
  • Positive, motivating interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self‑starter who gets the job done.
Schedule & Hours
  • Work schedule typically weekdays 9 am‑11 am and evenings until 7 pm; weekends 8 am‑noon.
  • Flexible work schedule depending on studio needs.
