Job summary

KidStrong in Issaquah, Washington is seeking a Coach to work with children aged 12 months to 11 years, focusing on their brain, physical, and character development. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with children and will also engage with parents in teaching the KidStrong curriculum.

Coaching hours are flexible, typically weekdays from 9 am–11 am and evenings until 7 pm. Compensation is between $21.00 and $26.00 per hour with opportunities for personal growth and development within the organization.

Qualifications

• Prior experience coaching children aged 12 months to 11 years.
• Prior experience educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum.
• Ability to motivate and effectively communicate.

Role & Schedule Details

• Coach with athletic or coaching experience and ideally experience coaching kids ages 12 months to 11 years old.
• Focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development based on the evolving monthly curriculum.
• Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding the rationale behind the KidStrong curriculum.
• Classes run weekdays, 9 am–11 am, evenings until 7 pm, and weekends typically from 8 am through lunch/noon.
• Opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on studio needs.
• Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours.
• Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children (non‑negotiable).
• Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate age range.
• Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum.
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
• CPR certified.
• Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Self‑starter who just gets a job done.
• Enjoys the spotlight.

Compensation: $21.00 – $26.00 per hour
